F-Yeah! The Fake Blower Is The Least Of This F-150’s Worries

  • This F-150 is overloaded with aftermarket parts, including excessive chrome and badges.
  • The truck also includes bizarre add-ons, such as a fake supercharger and chrome bull bar.
  • The $20,995 asking price doesn’t account for removing all the questionable mods installed.

Adding aftermarket accessories to a pickup truck is practically a rite of passage for many owners. While some modifications can enhance the look and performance of vehicles like the Ford F-150, others can leave you scratching your head in disbelief. Take this 2013 XLT SuperCrew currently listed for sale in American Fork, Utah. It’s a textbook example of how not to accessorize your ride.

adpushup.que.push(function() {
if (adpushup.config.platform !== “DESKTOP”){
adpushup.triggerAd(“0f7e3106-c4d6-4db4-8135-c508879a76f8”);
} else {

}
});

The dealer isn’t offering any insight into why the previous owner went down this particular path, but it seems they took a stroll down every aisle at AutoZone and grabbed whatever caught their eye. From the weird lights to over-the-top badges, unnecessary chrome trim, and a bewildering array of oddball parts, this F-150 has it all—and not in a good way.

A chunky bull bar has been fitted up front, and to match the rest of the theme, it has a chrome finish. A decal featuring the American flag and a bald eagle has been added to the base of the hood, along with a new chrome bumper. Perhaps the single most bizarre accessory is the fake supercharger blower sitting on the hood, but the accessorizing doesn’t stop there.

Just in case any future owner forgets what they’re driving, Ford badges have been added to the front quarter panels and front doors. There are also chrome wing mirrors and chrome door handles, while found at the rear is a bizarre mix of parts that truly boggle the mind. Like the front bumper, the rear one is trimmed in chrome, and there’s a large single mudflap running the width of the truck, complete with half a dozen red reflectors.

But wait, there’s more—badges have been added to the tailgate, and there’s a large steel frame sitting in the bed. A hefty lockable toolbox and a spare wheel carrier have also been thrown into the mix. Inside the cabin, things aren’t much better, with several random leather emblems scattered about.

Under the hood, things are a bit more grounded with a 3.5-liter V6 mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The truck has 86,488 miles (139,188 km) on it, and the asking price is $20,995. There’s no word on the pickup’s service history, but even if all the vital mechanical components are in good condition, the next owner will have to spend hours removing some of the weird parts – unless they find them to their liking, that is…

If you’re still curious, you can find the listing at Truck Ranch over here. But seriously, consider it a cautionary tale of what happens when accessories go too far.
